Zana Kanaan Shakir was born in Erbil, Iraq in 1973. He received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Salahaddin, College of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Department in 1997. Continued study for M.SC Electrical Engineering on 1998 till 2001 in the Department of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, University of Gazi, Ankara, Turkey. In his thesis, he developed a design inverter type welding machine. Currently, he is an assistant lecturer, Erbil Technical Engineering College, Erbil Polytechnic University, Iraqi Kurdistan, Iraq. Member of the Engineering Consultancy Bureau, Erbil Technical College, Erbil Polytechnic University. Main interest in Electrical, Power Electronic Engineering.
