Tava Dhahir Mohammed is an Assistant Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at the Erbil Technical Engineering College, Erbil Polytechnic University, specializing in Highway Engineering. She began her academic career in 2009, serving as a Teaching Assistant within the same department until 2017.

Following the completion of her postgraduate studies, she returned to Erbil Polytechnic University in 2020 as an Assistant Lecturer. Over the years, she has held several key administrative responsibilities, including serving on the departmental Quality Assurance Committee from 2021 to 2024 and working as the Assistant Head of the Civil Engineering Department until 2025. Currently, she continues her contributions to the department as an active member of both the Quality Assurance Committee and the Examination Committee.
