Dr. Talib M. Omer is the Dean of Mergasor Technical Institute. Prior to joining the EPU family, he served as Faculty of Education Deputy Dean for Scientific Affairs of Soran University. He brings wide-ranging experience in leadership and academic teaching. He earned his PhD in English Language, specifically in Applied Linguistics at Salahaddin University, Erbil, Iraq and his MA in TESOL at the University of Nottingham/UK. He published seven research articles in reputable journals nationally and internationally. Dean Omer’s research area is L2 learning &Teaching, sociolinguistics, language ideology, metadiscourse, educational diversity, EAP, language acquisition and psycholinguist.
