Shelan M. Mustafa was born in Erbil, Iraq. She received the BSc. Degree in General Physics, and the MSC. Degrees in Nanotechnology from the Salahaddin University, Erbil, Iraq, in 2001 and 2010, respectively.
In October 2011, she joined the Erbil Technology College, Erbil Polytechnic University, as an assistant  Lecturer, and in 2012 became a vice head of the road department. she was head of the electricity department for six years from 2014-2020; she is currently a PhD student at the scientific research centre at Soran University, her current research interests include nanotechnology, green synthesis, Solar Cells, nanomaterials, semiconductor nanostructures devices, physical properties for materials in the nano range, surface structure and X-ray diffraction.
