Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, Ph.D

Ranj Sirwan is promoted in August 2007 as faculty member at Erbil Polytechnic University, Erbil Technical Engineering College. Ranj Sirwan has good knowledge in the academic field and researches, especially the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning system, Solar system, Energy Management, and Renewable energy. He published more than 20 papers in international (Clarivate and Scopus) and national journals.
In addition to his teaching responsibilities in the Mechanical and Energy Engineering Department, Ranj Sirwan has held various administrative roles. He served as the Vice Dean of the Technical Engineering College from 2014 to 2018 and has been the Director of the International Office since December 2018. Currently, he is the General Director of the Scientific Research and Development Center at Erbil Polytechnic University.
Ranj Sirwan holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineering, from Baghdad-Technical College and the University of Technology Baghdad, obtained in 2002 and 2006 respectively. He also earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and Build Environment from the National University of Malaysia in 2013.
