Ranj Sirwan Abdullah, Ph.D

Assistant Professor, ERBIL POLYTECHNIC UNIVERSITY

Ranj Sirwan is promoted in August 2007 as faculty member at Erbil Polytechnic University, Erbil Technical Engineering College. Ranj Sirwan has good knowledge in the academic field and researches, especially the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning system, Solar system, Energy Managment, and Renewable energy. He published more than 20  papers in international and national journals.

In addition to his teaching responsibilities in the Mechanical and Energy Engineering Department, Ranj Sirwan has held various administrative roles. He served as the Vice Dean of the Technical Engineering College from 2014 to 2018 and has been the Director of the International Office since December 2018. Currently, he is the General Director of the Research Center at Erbil Polytechnic University.

Ranj Sirwan holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineering, from Baghdad-Technical College and the University of Technology Baghdad, obtained in 2002 and 2006 respectively. He also earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Malaysia in 2013.
