Dr. Diana Hayder Hussein is a
lecturer in the Department of Information System Engineering at Erbil
Polytechnic University. She received a PhD in Communication and Networking from
Erbil Polytechnic University in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on
software-defined networking (SDN), 5G mobile networks, and federated learning,
particularly within the context of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV).
Dr. Hussein holds both an MSc
(2015) and a BSc (2009) in Electrical Engineering from the Department of
Electronics and Communication at Salahaddin University.
In addition to academic work, Dr. Hussein is a certified Cisco instructor and has earned four professional certificates through the Cisco Networking Academy program at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. These include:

Dr. Hussein’s broader academic
interests span next-generation communication technologies, edge intelligence,
and intelligent vehicular systems. She is actively engaged in academic research
and collaborative projects, and contributes to curriculum development and
student mentoring at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
