Biography

Dr. Diana Hayder Hussein is a lecturer in the Department of Information System Engineering at Erbil Polytechnic University. She received a PhD in Communication and Networking from Erbil Polytechnic University in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on software-defined networking (SDN), 5G mobile networks, and federated learning, particularly within the context of the Internet of Vehicles (IoV).

Dr. Hussein holds both an MSc (2015) and a BSc (2009) in Electrical Engineering from the Department of Electronics and Communication at Salahaddin University.

In addition to academic work, Dr. Hussein is a certified Cisco instructor and has earned four professional certificates through the Cisco Networking Academy program at St. Louis Community College at Forest Park. These include:

Dr. Hussein’s broader academic interests span next-generation communication technologies, edge intelligence, and intelligent vehicular systems.
