Dastan Zrar  received his Bachelor degree from the Air conditioning Engineering Department of Erbil Technical Engineering College, Erbil Polytechnic university, Erbil, Iraq in 2011. From 2011 to 2012 he was a Engineer from Oil serve Company after that He was a scientific assistant in the research center of Fluid Mechanic and equipment's measurements . From 2013 to 2015 he was Master student in Saint Petersburg state polytechnic university, Russia. His research interest includes technology and applications of Heat exchangers and Geothermal Energy.

Mr. Dastan Zrar Ghafoor is Lecturer at the department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering of the Erbil Polytechnic university . His research is situated in the field of Refrigeration and  Air-conditioning , with a special focus on Heat transfer , Computational Fluid Dynamics such as Heat Exchangers , Geothermal Energy and Saving energy transfer, academic entrepreneurship. Dastan teaches several courses on Air conditioning  Equipment technology entrepreneurship and the business economics of high‐technology industries to business and engineering students. He teaches the course “Mechanical Measurements ” at EPU . Dastan also supervised four groups of fourth year students on the topic of geothermal energy, Centrifugal Pump, wind tunnels and Micro channel heat sink.
