Dr. Chia Hussain Abdoulqadir is a Lecturer at Erbil Polytechnic University (EPU), where he contributes extensively to teaching, curriculum development, and academic mentorship within the fields of environmental science, geoscience, and health, safety, and environment (HSE). He holds a PhD in Environmental Geochemistry from Salahaddin University–Erbil, an MSc in Environmental Management (Merit) from Coventry University in the United Kingdom, and a BSc in Geology from the University of Sulaimani.

With more than a decade of combined academic and professional experience, Dr. Abdoulqadir has taught a wide spectrum of courses—including Environmental Geology, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Geochemistry, HSE, Sedimentology, and Technical English for the Oil and Gas Industry—and has supervised numerous student projects recognized for excellence. He has been awarded Top Academic Staff at EPU (2017–2018) and the Best Student Project Supervisor at the Tech-Inno Festival (2019).

Alongside his academic career, Dr. Abdoulqadir has developed substantial expertise in environmental management, QHSE systems, and the oil and gas sector. He is a Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and has served as an Environmental Advisor, QHSE Manager, consultant, and technical trainer for several major organizations, including Western Zagros Limited, HKN Energy, Waste Tech Co., and SMB Group. His technical competencies cover environmental monitoring, air-quality analysis, wastewater treatment, environmental impact assessments, waste management, and HSE system development.

Dr. Abdoulqadir’s work reflects a strong commitment to environmental protection, applied research, and capacity building in Kurdistan’s academic and industrial sectors. His multilingual background, extensive professional certifications, and active involvement in workshops, conferences, and scientific committees underscore his role as a dedicated educator and environmental specialist contributing to the advancement of higher education and sustainable development in the region.
