I have a PhD degree from the University of
Nottingham / UK (July 2016) in the areas of BIM
application, design change management, and collaborative design. My MSc in structural
Engineering (2000) and my BSc in Civil Engineering (1997) both were from Baghdad
University.
I have experience in Structural Design, Construction,
and Supervision of engineering works besides teaching at the
university for many years. I have seven years’ experiences working with the
World Health Organization (WHO / UN) in Baghdad, Jordan & Erbil.
Moreover, I worked with four consultancy companies/bureaus in Iraq, UK
and France before I start working in the academic area.
I am skilled in
using ETABS, STAAD Pro and GSA software for analyzing and
designing structural projects. I am conversant in modeling with Revit
software and also proficient with AutoCAD 2D&3D, which I have used
for nearly twenty-five years.
