Adil O. Abdullah completed his BDS at Hawler Medical University, School of Dentistry. He studied Clinical Master's Degree in Oral Surgery and Dental Implant at the University of Sulaimani, School of Dentistry. He joined the School of Clinical Dentistry at the University of Sheffield in the United Kingdom to achieve the second MSc degree and completed it with distinction. Dr. Abdullah completed his Ph.D. in the clinical science of stomatology based on a fully funded scholarship, the program was supported by the Chinese Scholarship Council. Dr. Abdullah is better recognised internationally through becoming a Fellow of the International College of Dentists USA and becoming a membership of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.
Currently, Dr. Abdullah is well known as an international researcher (https://www.adscientificindex.com/scientist/adil-othman-abdullah/3992144) also working as a main reviewer and an editorial board in certain impacted factor journals relating to his discipline.
The main fields of his research direction include ceramics and adhesives in dentistry. He is also focusing on laser technology to treat ceramic surface treatment and coating of zirconia in fixed dental prostheses. Another field of his research interest includes using ceramics for indirect CAD/CAM restorations and veneering ceramics. Concentration on the production of materials with improved properties such as strength and durability relating to dental implant surface modification; the integrity of structurally compromised restored teeth and the clinical evaluation of restorative systems are mainly focused by his team.
